Coverage is available to patients ages 0–74, and parents or legal guardians can coordinate care for dependents under 18 (subject to additional verification).

    • Maximum sum payable for medical complications up to $150,000 (JetCover Premium tier)
    • Emergency medical (accident & illness) up to $1,000,000 after a $250 excess

    For Our Clinic Partners

JetCover also benefits our clinic partners. When patients know they're protected, they book with greater confidence – and clinics can focus on delivering great care.

    • Patients book with greater confidence
    • Patients have complication benefits if something goes wrong after their procedure
    • Professional patient experience backed by JetCover by GPS℠
    • Part of the JetWell Certified standard

    Eligibility criteria

JetCover is provided through our underwriter and has its own eligibility rules. Most JetWell patients qualify automatically, but it's helpful to know the basics:

    • U.S.-outbound patients only
    • Travelers aged 0 to 74 on the procedure date
    • Trips up to 60 days, counted from departure to return
    • Enrollment within 60 days of departure
    • Up to 4 covered procedures on a single policy
    • Procedures on the JetCover approved list
    • Physically fit to travel for medical care

Criteria above are not all-inclusive. Final eligibility and coverage decisions are made by the underwriter based on your booking details and the policy in effect at the time of enrollment.

The actual coverage terms and conditions are issued through the confirmation of coverage, benefit summary and policy generated at time of purchase.

    Good to Know

    Transparency matters to us

JetCover by GPS℠ does not cover the cost of your original elective procedure, routine or expected follow-up care, complications unrelated to your booked procedure, complications arising from a pre-existing medical condition (one that existed in the three years before your coverage starts, as the policy defines it), pregnancy or childbirth, a condition first diagnosed during your trip, complications from not following your medical instructions, or unfavorable aesthetic outcomes that are not medical complications. Unfavorable outcome treatment for a qualifying complication is covered at every coverage level, up to $2,500 ($5,000 with JetCover Premium). Coverage decisions are made by the insurer, not JetWell. For full details, refer to the policy documents provided at booking.

Not always. JetCover by GPS℠ covers complications from the procedures its policy names. Your quote marks any treatment it does not cover: that treatment is left off your policy and adds nothing to its price. If none of your treatments is covered, as with clear aligners on their own, JetCover is not offered on that quote. JetCover also requires you to be under 75 on your procedure date.

JetCover by GPS℠ is insured by Optimum Global Insurance Company Limited, offered as JetCover by GPS℠ and administered by Custom Assurance Placements, Ltd. JetWell is not an insurance company, broker, or agent – we facilitate access to coverage available for eligible procedures.

JetCover by GPS℠ travel cover starts when you depart for your trip, complication cover takes effect on your procedure date, and when each benefit ends depends on the specific benefit. A complication must be diagnosed within 180 days of your procedure. Additional medical or surgical treatment must take place within 270 days. Your trip must be no longer than 60 days from departure to return.

In an emergency, get treated first, then contact the 24/7 emergency assistance line as soon as you can. For a complication that is not an emergency, contact the claims team for approval before you receive treatment: non-emergency treatment without pre-approval is limited to $1,000 in total, whatever your coverage level. JetCover by GPS℠ works by reimbursement: you pay for treatment, then email the claim form from your trip details on your JetWell dashboard, with your receipts and medical records, to claims@optimumglobal.com. Tell the claims team within 90 days, and before any further treatment. Claims are handled by Optimum Global Limited for the insurer, Optimum Global Insurance Company Limited. JetWell can help you locate your policy documents and claim form but does not process claims or make coverage decisions. The phone numbers are in the JetCover by GPS℠ Terms, and our complication response protocol walks through what happens when a complication is reported.

No. JetCover by GPS℠ covers complications from your procedure and accident & illness during your trip, as its policy sets out, not your medical care in general. It operates on a reimbursement basis: you pay for treatment at the time of service, then submit a claim to the insurer for reimbursement of eligible expenses. It is not a direct-pay insurance product, and your JetCover enrollment ID is not accepted as payment by medical providers. The actual coverage terms and conditions are issued through the confirmation of coverage, benefit summary and policy generated at time of purchase. Learn more about how JetCover activates when you need it.

To enroll you in JetCover by GPS℠, the underwriter requires your full legal name, date of birth, passport number (for international coverage), and beneficiary designations for accidental death & dismemberment benefits. JetWell shows your passport number masked in your account, sends the full number to the underwriter through a secured channel to issue your coverage and, for a package booking, to your Provider when your booking is confirmed so it can register you as an international patient. JetWell keeps it for as long as your coverage and any claim under it may need it, and as the law requires, and deletes it when you ask once your trip and any claim are finished.

To facilitate JetCover by GPS℠ coverage, JetWell shares limited information with insurance partners including your name, contact details, booking information (procedure type, dates, destination, Provider), and passport and beneficiary information where required. Insurance partners process information under their own privacy policies. See the JetWell Privacy Policy for more details.

If you cancel before you travel, your JetCover by GPS℠ premium or upgrade fee is refunded in full. If you cancel after you've traveled but before your procedure, the complication cover part is refunded and the travel cover part is kept, because your travel cover was active during your trip. Once your procedure date arrives, your JetCover cover is in force and the premium or upgrade fee is not refunded. If your Provider declines to treat you, it is refunded in full. See JetWell's Cancellation & Refunds Policy for the rest of your booking.

For complete coverage details, exclusions, and claims procedures, see the full JetCover by GPS℠ Terms.
