Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about how JetWell prices and bills a booking, clinic safety, JetCover insurance, and the JetWell patient journey.
About JetWell
JetWell is a platform for booking elective treatment abroad. You tell Doc, our AI assistant, what you need, and JetWell quotes a fixed-price package from the published rates of clinics it has reviewed and approved, sends your request to a clinic and coordinates your booking. We don't provide medical care ourselves – your clinic does.
No. JetWell does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment. All medical care is delivered by independent clinics, and all medical decisions are made directly between you and your clinic's doctors.
Many elective procedures cost far less abroad, and some clinics there focus on a small number of procedures and perform them often. What's hard is knowing which clinic to trust, what you'll really pay and how to arrange the trip.
JetWell exists to help with that.
JetWell quotes six procedure categories: hair transplant (FUE, DHI), dental (veneers, crowns, implants, full-mouth restoration), cosmetic surgery (rhinoplasty, facelifts, liposuction), LASIK and vision correction, IVF and fertility treatment, and bariatric surgery (gastric sleeve, bypass).
You can get a fixed-price quote wherever a clinic JetWell has approved has published its prices for your procedure. Tell Doc, our AI assistant, what you need and it shows you the cities available. We add procedures and cities as clinics publish their prices. If nothing is available for your procedure yet, tell Doc and we'll get back to you.
JetWell works with clinics it has reviewed and approved, and adds a country once it has approved a clinic there and the clinic's prices. Where you can book depends on the procedure: tell Doc, our AI assistant, what you need and it shows you the cities with an available quote.
The countries where you can book today, and what you can book in each, are on our Destinations page.
Booking through JetWell gives you:
- a clinic JetWell has reviewed and approved, along with its prices, before it can take patients,
- one fixed package price before you commit, with nothing added at the clinic,
- JetCover by GPS℠, available for eligible procedures: insurance for complications from your procedure, with emergency medical (accident & illness) cover during your trip, insured by Optimum Global Insurance Company Limited, not JetWell, and
- JetWell's care team, which follows your booking and steps in if your clinic doesn't answer a message within a day.
JetCover is not available if you book a clinic directly.
JetWell is ideal for people who:
- Want high-quality elective or non-emergency care
- Are open to global options
- Value transparency and coordination
- Want to be informed and intentional about their care
JetWell is not appropriate for emergencies or situations requiring immediate local intervention.
No. JetWell is infrastructure – not a replacement for clinical relationships.
Safety & Quality
Every procedure carries risk, wherever it's done, and standards vary from clinic to clinic. JetWell reviews each clinic and its prices before it can take patients, but that review is not a judgment of surgical quality.
Discuss the risks directly with your clinic's doctor, and make decisions you are comfortable with.
Before a clinic can take a JetWell patient, JetWell:
- researches the clinic,
- asks for its license to operate, accreditations and specialist credentials, reviews the documents it sends and tracks each one to its expiry,
- has it accept JetWell's provider agreements, and
- reviews and approves its prices, one procedure at a time.
This is a review of documents and prices, not a rating or a medical certification. How JetWell vets clinics explains each step.
No, medical outcomes can never be guaranteed, and JetWell does not promise specific results.
JetWell's role is to help you make better-informed decisions, not to replace clinical judgment or individual risk assessment.
Türkiye is one of the busiest destinations for hair transplants, and standards vary from clinic to clinic, so the clinic matters more than the country.
JetWell works only with clinics it has reviewed and approved, along with their prices, and JetCover by GPS℠ is available for eligible procedures, providing cover for complications from your procedure. As with any procedure, discuss the risks directly with your surgeon before you commit.
Cost & Pricing
JetWell is quote-based. Browsing procedures and destinations, completing your intake, getting your quote and sending a request are all free – you are never charged to get a price.
Your quote is a fixed-price package for your procedure and the travel items it lists, priced from the rates clinics in your city have published and JetWell's published fees. Before you commit, it shows:
- one package price for the procedure and the travel items your package includes, with JetWell's fees already in it,
- your JetCover by GPS℠ protection, marked as included where your package includes it,
- the deposit due at checkout, which is credited in full against your package price, and
- the balance, which you pay to your clinic when you arrive unless your checkout says otherwise.
Prices depend on the procedure, the clinic and the country, so there are no fixed plans to publish. Choosing a date charges nothing: nothing is charged until you pay your deposit, and your package price changes only if you approve an amendment.
Your quote is one fixed price for your package, shown before you commit. It covers the procedure and the travel items your package includes. JetWell's fees and, where your package includes it, your JetCover by GPS℠ premium are already inside that price, so nothing is added on top.
At checkout, to JetWell: your deposit. It includes your JetCover premium where your package has one, and it is credited in full against your package price, so it is not an extra cost.
The balance: you pay it to your clinic when you arrive, in US dollars or the local-currency amount shown with it on your quote, unless your checkout says otherwise. Your checkout shows the amount before you confirm.
At the clinic you pay exactly that balance: no card fee, surcharge or other added charge. If you are asked for more and pay it, email the receipt to support@jetwell.ai within 60 days of your procedure. If JetWell's review confirms you were charged more than your balance for your package, JetWell refunds the difference; extras you chose to buy are not refunded. Anything beyond your package, such as extra grafts, is priced separately and owed only if you approve it.
It is JetWell's fee for its own work on your booking, and it is already inside your package price: the one fixed price on your quote, shown before you book, so nothing is added on top.
It covers:
- Your JetWell care team: help by message and email, from your quote and dates through your trip.
- The JetWell platform: secure messaging with your clinic, your quote and documents in one place, and support at support@jetwell.ai.
Where your package includes JetCover by GPS℠, medical complication insurance with travel accident & illness cover for your trip, its premium is inside your package price too. JetCover is insured by Optimum Global Insurance Company Limited, not JetWell: limits, eligibility and exclusions are set by the insurer. The actual coverage terms and conditions are issued through the confirmation of coverage, benefit summary and policy generated at time of purchase. JetCover requires you to be under 75 on your procedure date.
If you cancel inside 7 days of your procedure date, the cancellation fee equals JetWell's service fee on your quote, as our Cancellation & Refunds Policy explains.
No. Your quote is one fixed price for your package, shown before you book. It covers the procedure and the travel items it includes, with JetWell's fees and, where your package includes it, your JetCover by GPS℠ premium already inside it, and it shows the deposit due at checkout and the balance.
What a package includes varies by clinic and procedure – many bundle hotel nights, airport transfers, medications and aftercare – and your quote lists what is and is not included.
Costs that sit outside your quote:
- Flights (your quote shows the usual round-trip fare from your city where it can), plus meals and personal spending
- Hotel nights beyond what your package covers
- Any foreign transaction or currency conversion fee your own bank or card issuer charges
Your clinic may not add a card fee, surcharge or any other charge to your balance. If you are asked for more and pay it, email the receipt to support@jetwell.ai within 60 days of your procedure. If JetWell's review confirms you were charged more than your balance for your package, JetWell refunds the difference. Extras you chose to buy, such as an added service or upgrade, are not refunded.
If your clinic finds at your in-person consultation that you need less than your package lists, it proposes an amendment that lowers the price. If you need more, it proposes an amendment priced from its published rates, and nothing beyond your package is owed unless you approve it.
Not at the moment. JetWell does not offer installment plans or third-party financing.
What you pay at checkout is your deposit, which includes your JetCover by GPS℠ premium where your package has one and is credited in full against your package price. You pay the balance to your clinic when you arrive, unless your checkout says otherwise, so most of the cost is not due until you are there.
For a package booking, your deposit refunds in full until 7 days before your procedure date. Inside that window a cancellation fee applies – JetWell's service fee on your quote – and the rest of your deposit is refunded. If JetWell charged your balance to your card, that is refunded in full.
Your JetCover by GPS℠ premium refunds in full if you cancel before you travel. If you cancel after you've traveled but before your procedure, the complication cover part of your premium is refunded and the travel cover part is kept, because your travel cover was active during your trip. Once your procedure date arrives, your JetCover cover is in force and the premium is not refunded.
If your clinic declines to treat you, we refund everything JetWell collected, whatever the timing, and your clinic refunds any balance you paid it.
Otherwise JetWell refunds only what it collected, and a balance you paid your clinic is between you and the clinic, with one exception: if the clinic charged you more than the balance on your booking for your package, email the receipt to support@jetwell.ai within 60 days of your procedure. If JetWell's review confirms the overcharge, JetWell refunds the difference. Extras you chose to buy are not refunded.
The full terms are in our cancellation and refund policy.
As a planning estimate, a full FUE hair transplant in Turkey typically costs $1,800–$3,500, compared with $8,000–$15,000 in the United States. Many Turkish packages include hotel nights, airport transfers and post-operative medications, and some include PRP, which others offer as an add-on. The difference comes mostly from lower labor costs and high procedure volume, and a lower price does not by itself mean lower quality.
Your own price is a fixed-price package quoted for your case from the rates clinics publish, with JetWell's fees, and your JetCover by GPS℠ premium where your package includes it, already inside that price.
Lower costs are typically driven by:
- Lower administrative overhead
- Different malpractice and insurance structures
- High procedural specialization and volume
- Lower labor and facility costs
Lower cost does not automatically mean lower quality.
JetWell does not prepare Letters of Medical Necessity, submit claims or guarantee reimbursement. A letter of medical necessity comes from a physician, so ask your clinic or your own doctor.
Whether HSA or FSA funds can pay for your procedure depends on IRS rules: cosmetic procedures such as hair transplants generally do not qualify, while some dental, LASIK, IVF and bariatric care can. Check with your plan administrator or a tax professional.
The Patient Journey
You tell Doc, our AI assistant, what you need and answer a few questions about your treatment and your health, then pick a city where JetWell can quote it. JetWell prices your package from the published rates of the approved clinics in that city and sends your request to them in turn.
The first clinic to accept reviews your case and offers dates. Until you pay your deposit it is shown to you as "A JetWell clinic in" your city, with its photos and languages; its name and full profile appear once you book.
JetWell prepares your quote from your intake: a fixed-price package for your procedure and the travel items it lists, priced from the rates clinics in your city have published and JetWell's published fees. Sending the request costs nothing.
A clinic that accepts your request reviews your case, including any photos or records you added, and offers procedure dates, which are held for you for a limited time. For dental treatment it may first ask for records, such as an X-ray or your dentist's plan; you can say you don't have one, and your deposit opens once the clinic has reviewed what you sent.
Until you confirm, the clinic is described to you but not named. Choosing a date charges nothing; you confirm by paying your deposit, and the clinic is then named to you in full.
If the clinic's assessment calls for something different from your package, it proposes an amendment priced from its published rates, and nothing changes unless you approve it.
It depends on the procedure. For a hair transplant, your quote is built from three photos you take during the intake.
For dental treatment you can add your dentist's plan or an X-ray during the intake if you have one, but you don't have to; no clinic sees them until it accepts your case. The clinic that accepts may ask for records, such as an X-ray, before your deposit, so the plan you pay for is one it has checked. You can tell it you don't have something, and your deposit opens once it has reviewed what you sent.
It depends on the treatment and the clinic. Your quote says how many nights your package includes and, for dental treatment, how many days the treatment takes; your clinic confirms them with your treatment plan.
Some treatments, such as dental implants, need a second trip a few months later, and your quote says so.
Your clinic remains your point of contact for clinical questions after your procedure, and you can message it, photos included, in your JetWell message thread. Follow-up care is set by your clinic and varies by procedure, so ask it what to expect before you fly home.
Your JetWell care team stays available for coordination: rescheduling, documentation, and chasing your clinic if it goes quiet.
If something goes wrong medically and your booking includes JetCover by GPS℠, it may reimburse eligible complication costs, subject to the insurer's limits and exclusions. Non-emergency treatment has to be pre-approved by the claims team first – see "What is the $1,000 pre-approval limit?" under Insurance & JetCover.
Follow-up care is typically coordinated directly with your provider. JetWell may assist with documentation or coordination, but ongoing care remains between you and your clinicians.
AI & Technology
Yes. Doc, our AI assistant, runs your intake and answers your questions. AI also reads your hair photos to estimate a graft count for your quote, checks that the pictures you add are clear enough to use, and can read your dentist's plan into your treatment list for you to confirm.
AI doesn't replace clinicians or make medical decisions.
No. Doc doesn't give medical advice. Where AI estimates something for your quote, such as a graft count from your photos, it is an estimate for pricing: your clinic's doctor assesses you and decides what treatment is right, and any change to your package is proposed as an amendment you approve.
Privacy & Data
JetWell is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate, but we design our systems to follow HIPAA-aligned security and privacy practices, such as role-based access, encryption and audit logging.
Our Privacy Policy describes the safeguards we keep.
JetWell retains records only as long as necessary to support your care coordination, legal obligations, or platform functionality. Retention windows may vary by record type, and you may request deletion where legally permissible.
Insurance & JetCover
JetCover by GPS℠ is available for eligible procedures booked through JetWell: medical complication insurance for your procedure, with travel accident & illness cover and 24/7 emergency medical assistance during your trip.
JetCover by GPS℠ is insured by Optimum Global Insurance Company Limited, offered as JetCover by GPS℠ and administered by Custom Assurance Placements, Ltd. JetWell is not an insurance company, broker, or agent. The actual coverage terms and conditions are issued through the confirmation of coverage, benefit summary and policy generated at time of purchase.
JetCover by GPS℠ is insurance available for eligible procedures booked through JetWell, insured by Optimum Global Insurance Company Limited, offered as JetCover by GPS℠ and administered by Custom Assurance Placements, Ltd. JetWell is not an insurance company, broker, or agent. It provides cover for complications from your procedure – including additional medical or surgical treatment – plus travel accident & illness cover, emergency medical transportation and 24/7 emergency medical assistance during your trip. A complication must be diagnosed within 180 days of your procedure, and additional medical or surgical treatment must take place within 270 days.
Coverage eligibility, limits and exclusions are defined by the insurer. The actual coverage terms and conditions are issued through the confirmation of coverage, benefit summary and policy generated at time of purchase. See JetCover by GPS℠ for the benefit limits at each coverage level.
It depends on whether it's an emergency or not.
If it's an emergency: Get treated immediately. Do not delay care. Then contact the 24/7 emergency assistance line as soon as you can:
- Phone: +1-305-893-9433 (US)
- Email: hcserv@healthcaseservices.com
They can coordinate emergency medical transportation, medical referrals, and family coordination, and will connect you with the claims team.
If it's not an emergency: Contact the claims team for approval before receiving treatment:
- Email: claims@optimumglobal.com
- Phone: +44 (0) 1444 473405 (UK)
This step matters. Non-emergency treatment that isn't pre-approved is subject to a $1,000 maximum benefit in total for all benefits, whatever your coverage level.
If you're unsure whether your situation is an emergency, call the emergency assistance line. They're available 24/7 and can help you figure out next steps.
JetCover works on a reimbursement basis. You pay for treatment, then submit a claim to the insurer for reimbursement of eligible expenses.
To file a claim, complete the claim form and email it along with your receipts, invoices, and medical records to claims@optimumglobal.com. You can download the claim form from your trip details on your JetWell dashboard.
Tell the claims team within 90 days of the accident or illness that leads to your claim, and before any further treatment. Include your Enrollment ID in every email.
JetWell can help you locate your policy documents and claim form, but does not process claims or make coverage decisions.
If you experience a non-emergency complication, you need to contact the claims team for approval before receiving treatment. If you skip this step and get treated without pre-approval, the maximum benefit is limited to $1,000 in total for all benefits, regardless of your coverage level.
This does not apply to emergencies. If you need urgent medical attention, get treated first, then contact the 24/7 emergency assistance line as soon as you reasonably can.
If you're unsure whether something qualifies as an emergency, call the 24/7 assistance line at +1-305-893-9433 (US). They can advise you.
